So geeky on so many levels…

My dear husband sent me this link. You see, it has come to his attention that there is some sort of event going on this week. He was made aware of this fact because he is assuming all parenting duties on Thursday so I can spend all evening with my friends doing girly things like eating at Pei Wei…and watching Eclipse. Lando Dreaming

Greyhounds are seriously the best dogs ever. We love our guy! Despite their reputations, greyhounds are total couch potatoes. He loves his walks and rides in the car, but he sleeps ALL the time. He sleeps with his eyes open sometimes, which is kind of freaky, and he also dreams. Sometimes it's quite hilarious (less so when it's at 3 in the morning). Thoughts for Easter Sunday

A friend of mine posted this on her blog, and it was the perfect way to end our Easter Sunday. Elder Holland's talk at conference was amazing, and this video displays it beautifully. I'm so grateful for the atonement of our Lord and for the sacrifice that He made for us. I'm so grateful that He knows my pains and my sorrows because He has suffered them. I am truly grateful that I am never alone.

It's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake...

When you've got three kids, you're supposed to at least pretend to be an adult. Which means that bright pink hair is out. This is unfortunate, since this clip from Lazy Town really makes me want to dye my hair P-I-N-K. And for those of you who have been fooled into thinking I'm somewhat conservative, I have had just about every color of hair under the sun. Including purple. But never pink. And now I want it! I've also had this song stuck in my head all day, since Katie and Paul wanted to watch it about a million times last night. How did I grow up without You Tube?

Love Me Some Karaoke

I totally love Aaron's family. They are so much stinkin' fun to be with. One of our favorite things to do is karaoke. We spend literally hours doing this. My sister-in-law, Julie, is one of the funniest to watch because she gets SO into it. Here are some videos we took when we did karaoke on Christmas Eve. It's more impressive than it looks, since the karaoke CD that we have for Newsies doesn't have the words. Adam and Julie, I hope you guys don't get too embarrassed that I'm posting this! Some Adorable Videos

Katie's recently discovered singing, and that's what we do for most of the day. She's definitely not tuneful, but hopefully that will come with time! Katie loved watching herself on the computer. During one take of "I am a Child of God" she was distracted by something Paul was doing, so she kept pausing between lines. As she was watching it, Katie got impatient with her pausing and kept prompting herself. She didn't seem to realize what exactly was going on with the video. This first one is about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Aaron and I couldn't stop laughing after we watched this one. We would just start cracking up at the most improper times thinking of this video.

Messy Oatmeal

I read a study somewhere that said that kids don't really learn how to use a spoon until they are about 15 months old, no matter how early they start. Since eating with a spoon is extremely messy, I decided that 14 months old would be a good time to start. Not too soon, but not too late. I have to say, Paul's first attempt was WAY better than Katie's. But he decided to get down to business after a while...

Katie's Pizza Dough

I love how serious Katie is in this! She's really a pretty intense kid. The puppy backpack is actually a harness so I'm not losing her constantly in the store. She LOVES it! She's worn it all day for the past few days. According to Katie, her puppy's name is Dog and she take it on walks using the handle (I like to think of it as the puppy's leash, not Katie's).
